Any high school juniors or seniors that are interested in volunteering at Virginia Cross Elementary School should email Mrs. Nicks no later than Wednesday, September 14th. The school is in need of volunteers for their reading mentor program as well as other programs. Students would need to be able to volunteer during the school day (i.e. after CCCC classes end) and provide their own transportation to the school. This is a great way to gain volunteer experience to put on college applications and also to be involved in the community. See the following link for information on the literacy mentor program.
