The company that owns the SAT, College Board, announced yesterday that the SAT will undergo major changes starting in the spring of 2016. Changes include the elimination of the essay and the penalty for guessing on questions. Remember, colleges do not prefer the SAT over the ACT, or vice versa, and our students will take both as most individuals perform better on the test that best models their learning styles.

The changes will impact our current sophomores minimally due to the timing of the roll-out, but our current freshmen and following classes will need to be prepared for the new test.
