Freshman will have the optional opportunity to go off-campus for lunch at the end of this week. Mrs. Allen's and Mr. Burke's homerooms will go Thursday, October 24th. Mr. Cachafeiro's and Mrs. Hayhurst's homerooms will go Friday, October 25th. Please complete the attached permission form by Wednesday, October 23rd, and return it to either Mrs. Fields or the box on the wall outside the office. Copies will also be available on the lobby table. The group will ride on an activity bus with school staff and will be gone from 12:20-1:30 PM (primarily during their regular lunch period). Each student will pay for his/her own meal at a restaurant of his/her choice in the Siler City Walmart shopping complex (Subway, San Felipe, Wendy’s, Scratch Pizza, or Smithfield’s). Students and designated staff will board the bus in the student parking lot promptly at 12:20 PM. Assuming everything goes smoothly, the plan for the next lunch is to allow freshmen to sign up for a day instead of being divided by homeroom. |
